When you give to the Canadian Red Cross Asia Earthquake & Tsunami Relief fund before Jan. 11, 2005 the Government of Canada will generously match your gift, and has allowed any donation made to the fund, up to and including Jan 11, to be claimed on your 2004 Income Tax Return! I'm certain everyone here is quite aware of the horrible disaster that has recently occurred in Southern Asia, and seen many of the incredible images, and heard about many of the tragedies and miracles that have occured over the past 10 days. Yes, there are many worthy causes throughout the world today, fishing related ones, and other more local ones. Ergo, I challenge each NLFT member to think about this and donate to one of your favorite causes prior to January 11th. You do not have to disclose how much you have donated, or that you have donated. I just challenge EACH ONE OF YOU to pause and think about it for awhile before you decide what a particular organization has either done for you, or what your donation might mean to others when used by that organization.
