May And June Meetings

All meetings start at 7:00pm at Queen Mary Park Community Hall on 117St and 108 Ave. Everyone welcome. Coffee and timbits provided.

 

May 2 - Business Meeting - this is a special one! Silvia D'Amelio, TUC's CEO, will be in attendance to answer your questions about the Chapter Charter. We will then vote on the motion, "That the membership reconfirm affiliation with Trout Unlimited Canada (TUC) as per the terms of TUC's Chapter Charter." We need a quorum of 20 current members of TUC so if you can't be at the meeting please consider attending and voting "by proxy". The Proxy Form is attached PROXY May 2nd,'18.docx

Bring your tying kit for use during and after the business portion of the evening.

 

May 9 - Grayling Project 2018. Ken Monk and Jim O'Neil will be providing an overview of what's been happening with the Project and plans for use of the ACA grant given to us for continued work on the project during 2018.

 

May 16 - Hoppers! Dennis Southwick has been working on a few variations including a really good looking one which he calls "My Hopper". He's willing to share this and other versions. Mild heckling is not only allowed but encouraged!

 

May 23 - A social/tying evening. If you're new to fly tying and want to learn a thing or two there will some members there to lend a helping hand. Don't be shy about asking for help. We also have some loaner equipment if needed.

 

May 30 - New Zealand Journey - Alex and Michael were there for a few weeks and will be sharing some stories and pictures about the things they saw and the fish they caught. Bring your significant other or a friend or two to this one as you may well want to book your own trip of a lifetime after hearing about Alex and Mike's adventures

 

June 6 - still working on this one. There's a possibility of a visit and presentation from reality TV star turned Berland River guide, Adriano LaFauci, We'll update this as soon as something's confirmed.

 

Jane 13 - Barbeque - last get together before summer. Provided that we get 2 or 3 volunteers to do the shopping and cooking there will be hamburgers and hotdogs on the barbeque and pop and water in the cooler. No beer unfortunately but chance to arrange a few fishing trips for the summer and share some information from early season trips.
