Jan 10 – 7:00pm - Mike Sullivan, fisheries biologist with AEP, “Trout recovery in Alberta’s streams; things that make a real difference” . Mike is a Provincial Fisheries Science Specialist with the Fish and Wildlife Division of AEP. Those of you who have heard Mike speak before know that this will be a fascinating and informative session. Jan 17 – 7:00pm - AGM – elect the executive for the year. Please consider volunteering to help organize events and run the chapter. Jan 20 – Seminar with Phil Rowley “Fly Fishing Lakes in the Edmonton Region”. Grant MacEwan Downtown Campus, 10700-104 Ave., Edmonton, Room 5-142 from 9:00 to 4:30. Unravel the mysteries of fly fishing lakes, increase your catch rate and learn where and how to find and hook the largest trout, pike, walleye and lake whitefish in the Edmonton region!Flyfishing guide, author, and TV personality Phil Rowley is taking a break from his North American speaking tour to offer a one day seminar on fly fishing his home region. As well as information on locations, tactics, hatches and equipment, Phil will also demonstrate how to tie his favourite and most effective flies. Tickets are just $30. PeterSL Posted January 5, 2018 Author Share Posted January 5, 2018 Just as a follow-up: we are in need of items for the bucket raffle at the Seminar on Jan 20th. If there is anything you would be willing to donate (box of flies, surplus equipment, the Christmas present you don't really need) it would be gratefully received. Any donations can be dropped off at the club on Weds 10th or 17thTickets to the seminar will be available at club meetings as well as on Eventbrite.
