Conserving The Fish Of Muir

Recommended Posts

Dan, the ACA installs and runs the aerators at Muir and FESA pays the electric bill with financial help from the County. The budget is very limited. Believe the short answer is 'No.' Think the science suggests that running the aerators in the heat would have little if any impact on water temperature and oxygen levels, and may contribute to even more evaporation. Have, however, passed on the concern to ACA although I have no idea what they can do about it. Lots of concern in southern Alberta too about critically high water temperatures and low water levels in many lakes and streams.
