DennisS Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Well not sure if I will make it out again before our rivers close up but did manage one more time on the Freeman on Fri. It turned out to be one of my better outings this year. Average size was up a couple of inches from the last time. Managed about 30 fish, caught a couple in the 13 to 14 inch range. Then lots in the the 10inch range. I even caught a RMWF that was over 11inches then a couple in the 9inch range. I would say that 95% of the fish caught was caught on my Llama leech. It was sunk deep. Red Tungsten 1/8bead with big lead split shot. Right on the bottom stripped back. Faster the better. The day started out at 56degrees at 11:30 and the water started at 42 and I'm sure didn't change much. There was fog up until 2:30ish. So the day didn't warm up much. My hands were so cold by 3:30 that I couldn't even tie a simple clinch knot. Decide to head home as it was getting to the point that it wasn't fun anylonger. Great day even if it was cold. Really not sure if I'm getting out again before closing. Tight Lines Always Dennis S Quote
