DennisS Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Thank you Dave this is our new beginner program we are launching and hope this to be an on going program. We will have at least 2 nights out of the month basically set aside for a beginner program. You will find the schedule dates in our monthly newsletter. The structure of this course allows you to start at a level that your most comfortable with. From the rank beginner to a somewhat more advanced beginner. The first fly in the Manual if your interested in starting there will be the wire worm. All that is needed is a bit of copper wire. I believe I have enough with me tonight to use. & a small bit of dark dubbing & black 6/0 or 8/0 tying thread. I or we will find some hooks for sure. See all tonight Tight Lines AlwaysDennis S Quote
dave robinson Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I echo Dennis' coments from last night's meeting. It was heartening to see the number of people involved in welcoming and giving instructions to the new tyers. The atmosphere was great. Let's keep it up in the weeks to. come. And a note to Bobber. Next time i attend a meeting I'll bring my minature latch hook tool and show you how to tie knots in pheasant tail fibres for hopper legs that you asked about. Quote
