Rainbow
Good day with good people. A little work, a little play and Dipper Dan reaffirmed his nickname..... Thanks guys.I checked the temp. at Lodgepole and Robb this morning and it looks like the weather stayed well above 0 overnight so hopefully Zack and Co. didn't experience the Frazil ice at 3 in the morning. Forecast is mid twenties for the next couple of days up there.....go Grayling go!

Paulf
no grayling were caught, the creek lived up to its name. The water level is down and is running crystal clear
albertatrout
Too bad nothing was caught, i guess that provides data just the same though. Any suckers or other fish make it through the trap?
Paulf
...from what I hear, no fish what so ever was caught or seen...there was talk about a massive log jam downstream that was possibly impeding the fish movement...

Very interesting there werent any local fish movements whatsoever. There's so many creeks in that area that appear to have such beautiful habitat yet no significant fish populations. Hopefully data points like this will be beneficial in helping turn that around in the future.
dipperdan
It is very puzzleing, such great looking water and no fish. I keep getting the question ask to me ," Why is that , where are the fish, what is the cause". Very puzzleing. And what can we do to put it back to what is was or close to it. DennisS
As Dan and Paul said it is a purplexing situation. Dismal Creek is a very nice fishy looking creek. It's hard to believe that the fish populations are so low. Good water, from what we have seen there looks to be lots of food and habitat. Dismal has a big stone fly population. I guess another questions that will need to be looked into is, if that log jam the only one or is there more. I am again looking forward to getting out there and giving a helping hand. June 22 weekend should be a good time with the group out there. Hope to see you Albertatrout. Tight Lines AlwaysDennis S
