AlexKhan Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Picture I troll these very slowly on big lakes like Maligne / Murtle where I can paddle, fish and scramble rock. I discovered that my scanner takes much better pictures than my camera (no macro lens). Hook: Streamer 4x or longerTail: MarabouBody: Seal mixed with diamond dub in a coffee grinder, grizzly hackle, brass beads and propellers (silver/chrome for bright days). Murtle Lake Trip: Please let me know if this link doesn't work, google has changed their service for web albums. 2 Quote

Michael Dell Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 There is a story by John Geirach which describes how a friend of his fishes a Propeller Pete on an exclusive spring creek much to the dismay of some purists. Yes, I can see how these would work quite well. Quote

May have to think the Maligne Lake trip over, spoke to you this evening, it is kinda close to my Manitoba trip. It does sound interesting though. I haven't used the propfly , have heard of them.
