dipperdan Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Sucks to be you Gary, I'm headed out as well , west tomorrow young man out west and will be back next weekend, it really sucks, fishing every day for brookies ,cutties ,browns, and maybe even those with out black. Hopen to get some company to haul in all those fish. Maybe just maybe I could take some pictures, but I don't know, some of the guys in the club don't want to see the fish caught or even shown where they were caught, so I may or may not post some pictures.Do you think the stone will be out? So if your in the Peppers area come by and say hello. Dan Quote

To me it is a matter of choice (this is Canada right, not someplace that sensors your life I hope), everyone is entitled to look or not look. You could do a warning and disclaimer onto the topic thread like PG13 for 16" and under or XXX for those over 24"'s just to not offend someone…..lol. totally ridiculous. But then so is sensorship and supression. Didn't workout well for the Russians either. lol….lol.. Good luck. As for the picture thing who cares what others think. If they dont like it to bad. They get over it. If you dont want to take pictures who cares they as well will get over it. There are bigger things in the world to be concerned about as opposed to something that petty. As for the Stones, they should be about out if you are down south. I have not spoke to the boyz this last couple of days. But I sure would be fishing them if I seen any nymphal shucks along shore late into the evening and super early in the morning. Skating Stones love it. And if I am out there I will. Quote

dipperdan Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Well just returned from our trip out south west, weather was hot and dry. Unlike what we came back to, hailed out plants, what a shame. Oh well, can't have it all. Fish was off and on, The lake brookies have gotten smaller since the last time we were out , used to be 20"+ now your lucky to catch one 15". Finally fished the creek and had a blast, Micheal D joined us and we went out to try out my cane rod and some creek fishen.Brown Brookies and Bulls were caught, not many, I"m thinkin with the bulls there , not many of their pray to be caught. Tried another creek and caught some cutties. Thanks Micheal for showin me the ropes. It sure is different casting with the cane. Quote

vince Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Dan Thanks for the post and the pics....what a beautiful little stream and job well done catching that beauty. By the looks of its length you may have to invest in a larger net. Good job Dan Vince Quote
Grumpy Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Good job Dan Streams and fish like that are what it is about Quote
DennisS Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Great pictures and great looking fish Dan. On the size of fish it could be that fact the Peppers tends to winter kill on a regular bases. So the size could be do to when last time that happen. The flower looks like a prairie crocus but it seems to be a bit late for them blooming. Keep up the great pictures Dan Tight Lines Always Dennis S Quote

The Prairie Crocus is my favorite flower, and that's not what's in the photo. I'll leaf through some field guides tonight. Quote

I am thinking it is more in the thistle family. Quote
DennisS Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 That was going to be my 2nd choice. Tight lines Always Dennis S Quote
Junior Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 I can't seem to find my favorite reference. My best guess is that it might be flowering Beargrass. Quote
