kemo99 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 We are planning the 2012 edition of the creel survey for Arctic Grayling. We had a very successful first survey last year and we have more sites to cover this summer. We have a grant from Alberta Conservation Association to cover some of the costs and we are just starting to prepare the information packages and new locations. Here's what to expect:We will prepare field kits that contain maps, log sheets, instructions, tape measures, etc. There will be information / training sessions in June where you can pick up the field kit.You will go and catch some Grayling! - and record some information such as size, location, and where you fished. We'll pay for your gas ($75 / trip)Fishing starts after the streams open in mid-June (conditions permitting)You will get a nice warm feeling for helping learn about and ultimately conserving this species of special concern..Please send an email to president @ nlft.org (without spaces) with your:name, preferred email addressphone number (cell or other)fishing buddy (not necessary - we can hook you up)let me know if you have a GPS (what brand, model) or camera that you can bring on the trip.any other requests. 2 Quote
