Ain't the English language wonderful. So many different words for the same thing (with nuances) and so many different things meant by the same word.

Another meaning for Dope (other than being unintelligent like Dopey, one of the 7 dwarves) is the stuff I used as a kid to shrink the tissue paper on the balsa wood structure of the model airplanes I made. If you spent enough time in a closed room doing that the effect was the same as for the illegal dope and was a pretty dopey thing to do.
