DavidSalmon
Wow, I have not been on here for ages. I also have not fished for ages but plan on heading out on Friday somewhere around Sylvan Lake as my son is at a camp around there and I need to pick him up at 4:30. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to go fly fishing around Sylvan Lake. I have a pontoon or could just fish off the shore. Any suggestions would be appreciated and if anyone wants to join me, you are more than welcome. I am not great but maybe I can learn something from you. Thanks David Salmon
dave robinson
You could fish Sylvan Lake from a pontoon. . The Fishin' Hole reports are fair to good for walley and pike and slow for perch For pike you'll need to fish the happy salad beds and reeds with something big, coloful and splashy For Walleye you'll need to find drop offs and will likely have to fish the bottom Or you could drive south and a bit west to the Glennifer Reservoir also known as the Dickson Dam and fish the reservoir (big and subject to wind) or the river below the dam. If you want to try the river, PM me and I'll give you some more info. Edited August 23, 2011 by dave robinson
