Wheelchair access?

Is there anywhere around that has a wheelchair accessable fishing area? That would mean somewhere that was safe once they got there to fish as well. I have a co-worker who is in a chair who likes to fish, but there is a lack of areas to fish that are accessable unless he has someone to help him get to it. I also ran into a fellow at the BM pond who was fishing in a chair, but had help to get to the pond edge (the actual park is fairly wheelchair friendly), but there is no level or proper area for a chair to sit in safety (IMO). I have a physically challenged daughter who was in a chair for awhile and I realized just how lacking B.C. was in these facilities, so I am wondering about this area? This is not a criticism just exploring a thought and your input is appreciated...Kerry :fishy:

Thanks RB I appreciate the information. For what it is worth, the main dock at Muir would be very easy to make wheelchair friendly. I will look for other places etc. thanks again...Kerry :fishing:
