...with no fishing in the works...the only thing left to do is go out and take some pictures in the rain...

...this first picture is taken while standing on the dock at Muir lake, looking at those pesky three stumps...

...the third picture is looking out to the middle of the lake...the picture is not that clear as I zoomed in without supporting the camera...a little shaky and somewhat blurry...

...the next picture is looking out the flats where the pike can be seen swimming in the shallows...plenty of perch located in this area as well...

...the last group of pictures are take at Hasse lake...not that many people fish here anymore due to the abundance of perch and pike...I had to take a trip out here and take a few pictures too...again, like the others, here we are looking at the boat launch...

...and with that...that is all the pictures taken today...if you compare the water levels with pictures taken of the previous years, I think that you will agree that the water levels have indeed risen a bit...the areas are also looking pretty green now too...now in the waiting mode to fish...

...enjoy the pictures...now back to :coffeetime: ...

Dumb question from someone "from away": why do you have to wait to fish? The water level is up, and the lakes are legally open, yes?

Quentin...you are correct, the lakes are legally open...but with all the heavy rains and risks of thunder storms...I prefer to wait it out until the weather clears up a bit...

Great pictures Paul , I thought you would be out , very glad to see the water levels are riseing.

Quenten as to your question about fishen , some of us might melt if we go out fishen in the rain.

Just kidding , the wind and rain does put a bit of a damper on the fishen , especially a steady rain like we had. The weather is looking up for the weekend, so the potholes will be full of boats.

The rivers are all running high with the rains, so that leaves us to the lakes. We will post when heading out to fish and you can meet up with us.

Great pic's Paul . It's good to see the water levels coming up a bit. I hope Dan your right that the weahter is looking up. It sure would be nice to get out in the next little while. As you say with the condition of the rivers the lakes are going to take a beating for the next couple of weeks.

I'm a go Fishen too Dan
