RangerBob
Back from fishing the pond this morning for a couple of hours, it's ice free. Apparently, it's also fish free too. Give it another week for turnover to be complete, about 2 foot visibility right now. A few others pounding it with a flyrod and spin gear reported no luck either. The back swimmers were quite abundant, even scraped a few off my windshield.
Junior
I passed through Beaumont yesterday, but I didn't see the pond. All I've ever been told is, "it's right there, you can't miss it." Would you be so kind, Lance?
dave robinson
Rick:The pond is on the south west corner of Beaumont.Coming from Nisku on 625 , turn north into the subdivision on 60 street just before you get to the traffic lights of the main road (814) into Beaumont. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source...mp;t=h&z=15 Edited April 19, 2010 by dave robinson
RJL2
One post on another board said that when he went ice fishing at Beaumont Pond in late winter he saw a "lot of dead fish" on the video camera. Beaumont Pond usually overwinters Rainbows quite well due to the depths on the north end of the pond. I have not heard any other reports of a possible winter kill. We should know soon.
