Since I'm no longer the Iron Fly Tyer, it seems like it's time for a new handle.

I've considered doing the obvious, and going with "Rick jr", but I'm inviting suggestions.

Nothing is too insulting; the idea is to have some fun with it. Thanks.

How about "Insectivore" (or possibly "insectibore") but then that implies eating them (or talking about them ad infinitum)

"Insectophile" might work better

Or just plain "Mr Bugs"

Or if your fishing is lousy this year "R Le Blank"

Good one, Dave. R Le Blank earned a chuckle. I think if I was going to go with a bug reference "Bugsy" would work; double entendre and all that.

Vince, you make a good point.

Rick:

You're far too young to remember the old Lucille Ball TV show where Lucy and her hubby Ricky Ricardo (Desi Arnaz)

had a kid they called Little Ricky. Might work.

You could aslo use the common nickname for Richard - that is "Dick".

Now that could start a whole bunch of less than polite sujggestions.

Tricky Dick?

Fishy Ricky?

or for a real oblique reference " Trouser Trout"

(Hey, you said nothing would be too insulting)

Thanks guys, I knew I could count on you. Trouser Trout made me laugh, but my better half has already vetoed all "Dick" permutations. That's what came of "milelong". Don't get me wrong; sometimes I will veto her vetoes, but only on the important stuff. For example:

"But Rick, do you really NEED another fishing rod?"

"Come on now, we're well beyond the realm of NEED here."

or

"But Rick, you've already gone fishing twice this week!"

"Don't worry, winter will be here soon enough."

What about RB's suggestion in the small fly swap thread? ;^) The Procrastinator ... which reminds me... you get your flies done yet? lol
