Wonder what some peoples plans are for Sat Oct 31 closing day for most streams.

Do we have any brave soles headed for the Little Smokey.

Not sure yet where I'm going, giving thought to seveal places Little Smokey or Maybe McLeod or Embrass.

One more fling at those Grayings.

Vince Brian B hope there is enough periods and commas  for you.

Ah, Dennis, that should be "there are enough periods and commas." :) Beware, the grammar police are everywhere.

I will be hitting either the Crow or one of the local lakes on Saturday, depending on the weather. We've got about 3" of snow on the ground, and it's still coming. Gotta love global warming. Terry

Job well done on your last post....with the exception of the word "graying" which, I believe, should be grayling.

While those of us who live in Edmonton are looking at a 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive (one way) to hit some good water there are guys and I won't name names (Terry H.) who are but 15 minutes away from some of the best fishing in Alberta...lucky guy. That kind of drive in the winter months is a bit much for this old guy but who knows what thoughts the next few days will bring.

Once again, you're close but not close enough for a cigar. The correct saying is "That's the pot calling the kettle black". Now, I'm not quite sure where the pimples come into this conversation so I'll leave that for another day or year.

Now for Dave...yes, I am graying or perhaps I should say my hair is all gray but one thing is for sure...don't really care what color it is as long as I have hair.

  • 3 weeks later...

I found myself and a couple of others fishing in the southwest area. Saturday was, well if you went and stood in a touchless car wash with your waders and rod, then alternated between the high velocity blow dryer and the high velocity spray, you would get the exact idea of what saturday was like. No foam though. Some fish, some hypothermia, 9 hours of that was enough though. It cleared up when we were hiking back to the truck.
