Scratch Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Wow - you can certainly see the signs of the heat stress on those fish. Size is certainly in the hawg ballpark - but what that lake really needs is water. Bring on the rains! Quote
canadagrey Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 Pretty soon this one will be jumping out of sand. Quote
Dragon Troller Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Ouch!, That is exceptionally low. So many lakes in Alberta are facing this fate! Quote
Dragon Troller Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 maybe we should pump water not air? Quote
milelongleblanc Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Do you think oil and gas could be effecting the water table around here? Rick Quote
canadagrey Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 And now for the rest of the story! This one was on the first cast. Quote
canadagrey Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 All 6 of these hogs were caught by a well known local, type 3 sinking line with the Ultimate Boatman on the point with a size 16 silver Backswimmer. Short strips in and most were taken when the flies started coming up. The #*?# wouldn't share. Still it was a great day and in my stubborness would not put on a sinking line. Phil: Thanks for the great day. Quote
