Grumpy Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Heading down to the Crowsnest River this weekend, looking for a recommendation on motels. Quote
Terry H Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Check out the following website -- it lists a number of local hotel/motels and B&B's. http://www.mountainmemories.net/sta_acc.htm You might want to check out the river conditions before heading out, since the river is moving toward runoff mode. Clarity has been ok for the last few weeks, but levels are going up, and with warm weather and rain forecast this week, things could muddy up pretty quick. Give Vic a call at the Crowsnest Angler, or check out the "fishing report" on their website. Terry http://www.crowsnestangler.com/ Quote

BJW Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 You might try out BCM Inns in Coleman 1-888-700-2264 or 403-564-4274. They are on hwy 3 directly across from where the forestry trunk road comes to hwy 3, right across from Subway and next to a small bakery where they have the absolute best cinnimom buns for breakfast, also good coffee. dave robinson Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 If you are thinking f a B&B you might also want to try Bedside Manorhttp://www.bbwaterton-crowsnest.com/bedsid...r%20B&B.htmDr Bill Sara is the host. Quote

milelongleblanc Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Don't worry, Terry. Mentioning the cinnamon buns shouldn't make much difference; Vince talks about them almost weekly. Rick Quote

vince Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Boys Need not worry about where to stay just... worry about being first in line for the cinnamon buns at the Cinnamon Bear Cafe. Man oh man, I can just about smell those little beauties right now....I feel a trip down south is in order real soon. In terms of places to stay the links above are quite good plus one of our guys stays at the BCM Inns which by the way is, I think, right across the street from the Cinnamon Bear Cafe. Vince Quote
Grumpy Posted May 14, 2009 Author Posted May 14, 2009 thanks for all the information, my better half has made her decision for me we are going to stay at the Waterton Lakes Inn. but I will get to try the Cin Buns Quote
Terry H Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 There are two BCMIs in the Pass -- one in Blairmore and one in Coleman. The nicest of the two IMHO is the one in Coleman, and as Vince points out, it is within walking distance to the Cinnamon Bear ---- Mmmmmmmmmmm. Terry Quote
