vince Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Good meeting last night. I've not tyed a fly in quite some time so it was good to get back to the vice. It was also good to walk around and see what the other exec members were tying. I saw a brand new fly last night...called the Horizontal Leech as opposed to the Vertical Leech or the Balance Leech. Boys and girls ...The Horizontal Leech could be the fly of the future. Vince Quote
milelongleblanc Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Hey Bourbon, I heard you're a bit of an innovator! Could you send me the recipe for that Horizontal Leech? Thanks. Rick Quote
canadagrey Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 Vices, Vices, Vices everywhere. Lots of tying, remember to bring you vise to the club during February as Feb 4, 11 & 25 will all be Tie Along presentations. Check the newsletter for material requirements for these dates. Rob Clarke will bring Polar Bear, Michael will bring Macrame when they tie, so you won't have to go buy these materials. All of these ties will have the feature tyer complete one flie first, then will redo the tie on a step by step basis while everyone ties along. Build your Fly Box, add to the Casting for Life or Trout Unlimited Fundraising Boxes, most of all improve your tying skills. Quote
