Missing last year, I was glad to talk to Darren ( PE,ACRES)also good to talk with the RIO guys, Peter,Roli and their helpers Norm and Bill. Put it this way I had FUN!!!!

Hey Dan, not sure if it was you that Andy and myself were talking to (didn't get your name), but it was good to chat fishing with ya lol :drinked:

Hi Tim,

I think it was me you and your brother were chatting to about fishing Racehorse etc. I just looked at your Hook and Vise video. You guys did a good job on it and no better guy to be out on the Bow with than Maxwell. I look forward to more of your productions.

Tim:

Thanks for getting the Shadow boxes and taking them to Casting for Life in Calgary.

They put together a raffle of one of them and a Green Drake Fly Box. Thanks to Tak Shimizu and Barry Wright for their donations. Tickets were sold out on Saturday. Casting for Life raised $1000 thanks to the generosity of these 2 individuals.

Brian,

Your suggesting the raffle rather than a silent auction sure was a great way to raise the money-and to be sold out already on the Saturday was terrific! Tak was very pleased when I told him Sunday night and said he wants to do it again next year. I feel honored to be associated with such a fantastic group of people. :D

I'm glad the show was a success. I could tell you a sob story about sick kids and wife but it probably wouldn't draw any sympathy. So I'll lie and tell you I went fishing!

I was hoping that a 2009 clave would arise spontaneously. I checked into the idea of fishing Montana this summer and am still thinking about it. However, if I'm not otherwise engaged, I will certainly show up at any southern Alberta location. Or, even a central Alberta location (Ram, Red Deer, Stauffer, ?). Or even the Elk, if people are willing to pay the extra fees in BC.

Anyone want to volunteer as clavemaster?

Jim
