Wesdyne and I were able to spend a few hours at Muir Fri. Fishing was slow for everyone on the lake but we both managed to catch one each. Hers was just under 14" and I lucked out and hooked into one just over 20". It took all season and many hours of fishing but I finally netted my biggest rainbow of the year.

I did manage to get a photo but did not weigh it. I'm guessing it was approximately 3lbs. It was a beautiful, colorful, healthy fish without a mark on it. I was excited and in awe of it's grace and power as it gently slipped from the net back into the water.

Both fish were caught on chartreuse chenille and olive marabou leech patterns I had tied. It may be the last time we get out together this year to Muir and if so it was a great way to end the season.

Hope you all get a chance catch a few more before the snow flies.
