I'm surprised at how little discussion there has been (are all NLFTiers out ice fishing??? Tying flies????) on the snagged thread concerning Police Outpost Lake; in particular the signs that SRD is considering a policy that will see more "quality fisheries" -- two per fish management zone!! Isn't this what we've all been asking for? I think it's absolutely outstanding -- at last we've been heard. Doesn't anyone care?

I am starting this new thread so that perhaps more people will see and comment on the matter. If you are interested, go back and read the tail end of the "Police Outpost Lake" thread. When you're done, have a look at the stuff below.

Clive Schaupmeyer has posted a link to the draft policy from SRD for Quality Fisheries, on the FlyFishCalgary forum. Have a look, and let's hear some discussion/cheering. Terry

That is GREAT NEWS Terry, It would be nice to get some triples in Albeerta . I don't suppose they would stock some tigers too. I don't know what the facination is with tigers, but it might be fun to catch some. May have to go fishing in Saskatchewan, I guees?, if I have to....

Terry, It is possible that the less than stellar response was due to 2 things:

1 We were already informed at a club meeting about the idea of 2 special lakes per zone.

2 It is a time of year where not many folks are spending huge amounts of time on the computer.

I think it is fantastic news and the news about the lake near coroline with Triploids in it is most exciting.

DT, thanks, I didn't think of that -- one of the problems living in the hinterland, you forget city folk get all the good news first :) .

Thanks for that too. I've got to get a life -- spending too much time on the computer and assuming everyone else has the same bad habits. I should be fishing instead :fishing: . Terry
