agrombacher
Hey Paul, Nice bunch of poppers. I tyed 250 poppers this last year. If I can get to the meeting, I'll bring some of my McNally frog poppers to show. Cheers, Alan
DennisS
Paul nice lot of poppers. The Pike better get prepared this spring. I've been working on some pike & bass flies called Gurgglers which look pretty sharp. I'll take a picture or 2 and post them. There real easy to do. Tight Lines Always Dennis S. dave robinson
Dennis: Gart's Gurglers is what Bill and I tied up for use at Haa Nee Naa. Unfortunately the Coho were too deep to be interested when we were there, but apparently they worked earlier in August. My guess is that, tied in large gaudy versions, pike would find Gurglers appatizing.
DennisS
I was going to post a couple of pictures but the printer I'm using has my card reader and its been sent out for repairs(not sure for how long). So right now I'm SOL for pictures. I've tied up a couple that Darren had in FlyFusion with the rubber legs and do thay look neat. Darren thanks for the Timely article. mcmutt
Gurglers work VERY well down here in the east forchain pickerel & smallies. Here's a pic to show the effort. Jamiemy photobucket Man, those poppers must have half worn out your Dremel. Dollarstore takes quite a hit on emery boards when I start up making some, heehee
DennisS
I'll be tying up a few more and taking them with me when I go to Cuba. Suppose to big some big bass there. Reading a bit and fishing some of the river mouths is suppose to have a real mix bag even the odd Tarpon. Paulf
...yes... the Dremel was running pretty hot...shaped about +/- 200 popper bodies...this should keep one busy over the winter season...
