Jokey Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Will I be able to get a NLFTF membership at this event? My work doesn't enable me to get a lot of wednesday evenings free. Thanks J
Doc Posted October 18, 2004 Author Posted October 18, 2004 Good question Jokey. Could someone bring some membership cards to the Flies 'N' Beer?
Tys Flies Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 ATTN Doc: What is the format for tonights meeting. I am not sure whether I should bring any fly tying gear and tie along with Phil, or just to tie, or if Phil is just doing a bunch of presentations and so I should just watch and take notes. There was no indication as to what patterns he would be tying or if guests are welcome to bring their gear. TIA, TF
Scratch Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Usually - even if there is a planned tieing session - bring your gear if you want to tie along. Tonight I'm going without - cause I wanna watch/listen closely... but that's me!
DennisS Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 I would just like to say that it was a very informative evening. Some great tying and great hint given. I would like to say thanks to Phil for the great show ( we will see Him & Brian Chan Jan 22 & 23) and a big hand to Mike for putting this event on and also to Lance for his work on the camera and video & the use of his equipment. On a final note thanks to Mike for putting on the Flies & Beer nights it has been a great addition for the club. He will be suspending it for a bit and starting back up in the new year if the interest is still there. Again Thanks from the Northern Lights and personally from me.
