kanaka Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 As part of the Fernie Writers Conference, July 27 to 29, 2007, Phil Rowley will lead a workshop in writing about fishing. Writing a story with narrative, interest and publishable. As those on the forum know, Phil is widely published (his work has appeared in just about every magazine with "fly fishing" in the title or contents page) and brings a solid voice to the fly fishing world. The workshop is three days, mornings only, leaving plenty of time for tossing a line on the Elk. Work and Play. In addition, editors and publishers will be Conference guests to discuss how the the publication side of the business works with Conference participants. Jennifer Hamilton, Managing Editor of Avenue magazine will give a workshop (free, but only open to conference attendees) on Crafting the Query. For full details go the conference web site. www.ferniewriters.org If any forum members want to attend, pm me and I will arrange for the pre-June 25 tuition rate. Quote
