Flywing
Hi All, ever had your home invaded by the unwanted? We had it happen last night. I know who it was do you?

Michael Dell
Wally, That looks like Rocky the Flying Squirrel. Was there a moose in the garage? Michael
Terry H
Wally, the answer to your question is Yes -- we had a whole bunch of mice move in over the last month, but I think I got the last one a few days ago. The solution is a bunch of Victor Snap Traps. Looks like you have some nice dubbing waiting to be harvested . Terry
pacres
Sugar Glider right? So how is the fur for using as dubbing?
Scratch
Sugar gliders are pretty cool - for a marsupial in your house that is.
rena
Stupid Mice...we have been trying to use those Victor Traps but we put peanut butter in them and they have figured out how to lick the peanut butter off of the trap and go on their merry way! I am thinking of trading my dog in for a cat...any takers?!
dave robinson
Did Rocky have a return ticket? Does he collect frequent flyer points?
RangerBob
At least this unwanted guest didn't pass out drunk on your couch. Or, did you break out the hooch and offer him a taste? Flying Rockies.... interesting.. we just had a discussion at work here last week... wondering if they existed in Alberta. Guess you have UFO photo evidence. So, yeah do they 'dub' like the other Sqwerls? Edited October 2, 2006 by RangerBob
Flywing
No dubbing from this guy I opened the patio door and Rocky left to find Bullwinkle. Neat surprise at 6:00AM; still amazed that Rajah (Joy's dog) didn't make a peep just snuck up stairs to sleep undisturbed. Stryder the Lion Dog... well he was lying in his kennel sleeping... undisturbed. Good to know we're protected.
RangerBob
Good to know we're protected. :lol:So... how did he get in? You got a Hellipad on the roof now? Edited October 2, 2006 by RangerBob
Flywing
We think he came in on the balcony; the sliding screen door was off it's runner and Joy left the door open to air the up stairs. He must have used the opportunity but still don't know how long he was a resident. Don't believe he was here more than part of a day and the night. Scratch
That's really cool - didn't realize how similar flying squirrels and sugar gliders look! Almost the same - but one has a pouch.... Very cool. Now that we're certain it's a sqwerl - has Lance tried to shoot it?
