No one on the water but little ole me. Paul, first day I've ever been skunked...man, no matter what fly I used or what depth I fished it was a no go. The only hits I got I think were when I hit some weeds. Way to hot but sure was nice to be on the water.

 

I was going to head to the streams of the Coal Branch on Sunday but decided with the high temps and lack of rain that it was not a smooth move so I opted to stay home and tie a fly or two while watching the Tour de France. Wonder why OLN doesn't show the Giro de Italia.

 

How abou you Paul...hit any water over the weekend?

...with the hot temps right now, the best thing I found was to stay home and veg out...I would tend to believe that the fishing would not be very good in this heat...

 

...by staying home this weekend, I did manage to get quite a few things done and completed around the house...so it all wasn't a lost cause...

 

...I am seriously looking at fishing the Red Deer this coming saturday...will post a new topic and see if there is anyone else interested in going down...man I love fishing the Red Deer River...you would like it too, Vince...streamers or nymphing is usually the preferred method, but I have also seen a few people using dries as well...especially towards the evening...

I'd love to hit the Red Deer this weekend but fishing for me this coming weekend is a no go. My daughter and her husband are coming into town from Brandon for a few days so my time this weekend is with my daughter. We've got some serious bonding (shopping) to do. Have fun if you head out.
