Hi all.

 

Has anyone been up to the LSR in the past week or so? How's it fishing? Have the Bulls started to run yet?

FYI....Pamplona's running of the bulls took place July 6th to July 14th....

 

Seriously...to answer your question,

Yes, fishing is OK...not stellar. Fish still on the small side....no bulls to be seen.

Not too sure if the bulls are runing yet. (Heh.. heh! A "two-fer" photo!)

 

We caught lotsa Grayling on the weekend in new waters (a.k.a. "The Rathole") though. No, we ain't ratting out the location either.

There was no "Bull" in that Edson report.

As for the cows, it was quite hilarious.

After crossing the creek (nearly being trapped in a mudhole),

as I climbed up the steep 10 ft bank,

the cows saw me and a started a small stampede towards Vince.

After they ran out of room to run

(stopped either by a fence or a look at Vince, I'm not sure which)

they turned around and started to amble back towards me.

Soon they were in a small semicircle around me.

I was expectng a "take me to your leader" conversation,

but all I heard was a mooving discussion amongs cows.

Whenever I stepped towards them, they spun around

and trotted a few feet away, only to return and stare at me again.

Flapping arms and yelling at them only made them spin a bit quicker.

They didn't go further away, but stopped edging closer.

I finally walked around them and downstream to fish a while,

leaving them to stand on top of the bank and stare at Vince.

My conclusion? Cows are curious beasts, but dumb as posts.
