dipperdan Posted August 18, 2005 Author Posted August 18, 2005 Planning to be the weekend but your welcome to meet us for the day!!! We haven't discussed when we are going out yet, if its thursday night or fri morning. The long range forecast looks good though... Can't wait to try the lakes out there!!! Quote
vince Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 DipperDan If it's a weekend camping trip then keep me posted because if work doesn't get in the way I may just join in if it's o k with you guys. It's been a few years since I've fished the Lovett etc and would like to do it again. It's a no brainer for me - I'd rather fish the rivers and creeks in that area but camping together would be cool. I feel some Southern Comfort coming my way. Where do you have in mind to camp? Vince Quote
Paulf Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 ...Vince... ...It's a weekender for sure...most likely going out friday morning...Dan and I are going for sure, talked to Aaron, he might be joining us on Saturday and Sunday...depends on his schedule... ...fishing should be good for the rivers and streams now, lakes have always be good to fish, now catching is another thing... ...hope you can join us...will be a blast... ...if anyone else is interested in joining us, you are more than welcome to... ...looking at staying at Fairfax campground, if that is full, we will wing it... jjtopspin Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 I wish I could join you guys on your planned fishing trips . I'll just content myself on catching blue gills, sunfish, crappies and catfish which are quite abundant here in Wichita, Kansas. I have to go to Missouri or Oklahoma for big Browns and Rainbows according to a local fly shop here( 3-5 hrs drive). Have fun guys!! jjtopspin Quote
vince Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Paul Weekend trip sounds good to me. I'm making plans right now to be out of the office by about noon so with good luck and no major problems I'll be on the road by noon. I've never been to the Fairfax campground ..how are or are there facilities ie: wood, crappers etc. Dennis...if you ever bring up Scotch and Five Alive again we may have to consider banning you from this board.....now Scotch on the rocks I can see but with Five Alive ...I don't know Dennis. I thought at one time that you were of sound mind...it reminds me of Les putting coke in good Scotch. Sure would be cool to see Keith the "Boulder Man" . Let's hope all works out and we get to spend some time together. Vince Quote

Yes, there is alot of really good flowing water in that area..hard to decide but all worth trying. Now, you can't say to me that you have a Frenchmans Creek without me asking you where it is. If you send me a PM as to it's location I'll give it a quick fish one day and let you know how it is...that's the kind of nice guy that I am. Talk shortly and hope to see you and Keith up there on that Sunday. Vince Quote

Yep, that's right, the weasel has her first job at 15. Stasrted yesterday. Working retail should help crystalize her career aspirations. I might be able to sneak away later in the afternoon (after 3pm) or evening NSR sounds Ok. Quote
vince Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Paul & DipperDan Sorry, but I have to jam out of the camping / fishing trip this weekend. This time work did not get in the way but chores have. One big chore and a bunch of small ones. I've decided to sell my Jeep TJ and I'm planning on getting her all cleaned up and pretty before I but if up for sale. Great little unit for fishing but I think, in my advancing years, I want a bit more room and a bit more comfort. The smaller chores include cleaning up our shed and taking inventory of a wack of Zodiac boat stuff I no longer need and putting those items up for sale as well. You guys have a good time eh. Vince Quote
