dave robinson
SH: Did Telus open an office in Campbell River? Or since you're getting married, will you soon be a "kept man"
SilverHilton
Dave, No, unfourtunately, on both fronts. I'm leaving TELUS to pursue another career option and Leslie will be based out of Prince George until she can get a suitable transfer to the Island (hopefully Nanaimo). I'll continue to lurk on this site an post the odd fishing report from the Island. Incidentally, when I arrive there, the Pink run starts followed in short order by Coho and Steelhead. I also have my eyes on a nice used row boat to throw on the salt once in a while for those big Chinooks.

vince
Well, I can tell you where I've gone...in Brandon, Manitoba, visiting my daughter and her husband. Will be back on the 8th of Aug. and looking forward to hitting the rivers when I get back. As you guys may or may not know - the first annual fly fishing championships were held not to far from here in Russell, Manitoba..which is about 2 hours north of Brandon. Plan to head up that way in a day or two to scout out the rivers and lakes that the championships were held on. If it pans out ..next year I'll come down for a week or two and fly fish the area around Russell. Vince Hey RangerBob Did you get a chance to wet some line while on your family vacation ? RangerBob
RangerBob Very cool picture - I think you may have missed your life's calling. VinceThanks, but I'm hardly good enough to give up may day job yet. So when are you and I going to Vince Creek? I am off all this week. The Goldeye are calling my name too. I have a date with them on Wednesday night... so won't be at Muir afterall.
vince
RangerBob I'm still in Brandon, Manitoba visiting my daughter and her husband. Will be here till Aug 7, returning to work on the 8th. The earliest I'll be able to go may the following weekend (depending on how much crap went on at work while I'm away)and on. When I get back I'll give you a shout and hopefully we can plan for an upcoming weekend. Lots of good fishing time left - well into September. Ah, so many places to fish and so little time. I brought my GPS and my Backroad maps in an effort to try and pinpoint the location I call Vince Creek. I'll give you the co-ordinates as soon as I can - perhaps it goes by another name..I'm sure it does. Chat soon Vince
