Kids introduction to fly fishing

Recommended Posts

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the kids from Calgary will be canceling their trip to Edmonton. The Foothills Alliance Church sincerely apologies for any inconvenience this has caused us and are still interested in a future trip if we are still interested.

I would like to thank everyone who volunteered to help these kids out and am rather disappointed myself as this (in my mind) is what Muir Lake is all about.

Cheers

Perhaps they heard it was raining in Northern Alberta now? Oh well... life happens. Let us know well in advance when they plan to come up next time.

I coulda showed 'em how to cast in flooded out parking lots like this too.

For those who had thought about helping out

with Docs (now cancelled) Kids Intro to fly fishing

Anybody interested in heading out Muir way tomorrow anyway?

I've booked the day off and am thinking of heading there.

I want to be back about dinner time,

so am planning to be there around 10am to 4pm.

If you want to float with me, let me know and I'll bring Chiquita.

Otherwise I'll be testing out my Dad's old Zodiak.

I'll ask at tonight's meeting too.

Only problem with fishing flooded parking lots

is that you may end up catching mating toads.

Right RB?

Sussshhhhhhhh. Flanel flies and landed trout are not to be discussed publicly.

What happens at the Klave.. stays at the Klave.

You guys are no fun...

At least tell me in anyone floted the darn river? If so how was it.

It was a blast - 4 hours long, full of rapids, and good fishy spots - and in the end - the most unpleasant river crossing I've ever seen. (The McLeod is a fast deep river - NEVER underestimate a river crossing.)
