June 13 - Kids can Catch

The Alberta Conservation Association - Kids Can Catch events happen across

Alberta and next month on June 13th there will be a “Kids Can Catch” event in Ft.

Saskatchewan. It is a free fishing event making fishing fun and accessible for youth,

first timers and the whole family. It is hosted by local organizations, businesses and

volunteers. Kids will learn about hooks, bait, casting, responsible angling and how to

handle fish safely. We are requesting club members to tie up a few flies to be

donated to the kids for this worthwhile cause. The club meeting on May 27 will be

dedicated to tying up flies for this event. If you are interested in assisting at this event

please let Dennis know. Hopefully in a few years some of these kids will be

members of our club.
