Variation: Wool-a-Bou Bugger

Hook: streamer size 2-8

Hackle: your choice of palmered hackle

Body: chenille, your choice of colour

Head: sculpin wool spun in dubbing loop and clipped

 

Comment: The Bow River Bugger combines the attributes of the wooly bugger and the muddler. The originator of the fly was Peter Chenier, a Bow River outfitter.

Tail: Elk hair

Body: Peacock Herl and Red Floss

Wing: Calf Tail (original) or Antron (easier)

Comment: The seventh session will cover a traditional dry fly pattern. It doesn’t really look like anything natural, but for some reason, is very productive.
