No charge and no membership required to attend meetings. Coffee and timbits provided. Mar 6 – Peter Crowe-Swords, President of the Bow River Trout Foundation, “the leading voice for the Bow River Fishery”, will provided an update on the fishery, plans for boat launches etc. No Business meeting this month. Mar 13 – Free Tye – tie a few or come to learn new patterns, techniques, materials or just to talk fishing and tying Mar 14-17 Edmonton Boat and Sportsmens' Show - NLFF will as usual be offering opportunity for kids of all ages to tie a woolly bugger to take home. Volunteers to help out for a few hours still needed (meal, parking and free entry to the show provided) Mar 20 – Dennis Southwick ( featured tyer on the Canadian Llama site and he who ties a dozen before breakfast) will be demonstrating some stonefly patterns along with an open discussion of tying and fishing them Mar 27 – Ray Kohlruss - from REEL ANGLING ADVENTURES, www.reelangling.com, on fishing the Athabasca area rivers and lakes Upcoming: stay tuned for more details soon on:-North Saskatchewan River Alliance with a focus on the Ram, Brazeau, Cline, and Clearwater.-Wayne Oakes – birds in and around Edmonton area rivers and lakes-Stan Baron and “the perfect Humpy” tying contest with some great prizes donated by Stan-Ross Chow- saltwater fishing-opportunity to learn new flytying skills and patterns-a roundtable discussion on leaders and tippets – preferred materials, building, attaching for different lines and different purposes Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
